What is Anemia?

Anemia is a disease in which the body is deficient in red blood cells. Red blood cells are counted in the amount of hemoglobin (Hb). Anemia more experienced by women than men, because women experience menstrual period each month, and the period when undergoing pregnancy.

Good sources of iron are animal foods, such as meat, chicken, and fish. Other sources in eggs, nuts, cereals, green vegetables, and some fruits. Lack of iron will lead to iron deficiency anemia.

Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 serves normalized the function of the nerves and brain, as well as the formation of red blood cells in the body. Good sources of vitamin B12 are found in fish, beef, beef liver, shrimp, shellfish, eggs, and milk and dairy. Another source is soy and seaweed.
